the first day

the first day went well. i am going to like working for the new company. their target is to provide internet service to those who only have dial up, or no service at all. using satellite, or fixed wireless technology enables them to do it. as a customer service representative, i will be assisting customers with their billing and level one troubleshooting. i am really excited about the whole thing.

it should also be noted that there are many of my former co-workers from H-hell who have migrated there, and are also extremely happy in the new environment. i think that this is the career that i am going to retire from. i know, i have said that before. but this is the way of the future and it is innovative and such a strong market for it, that perhaps this contact centre will stay well managed, and strong for my future.

there is lots of room for advancement as well. i mean, if i want to learn and grow as a CS agent, i can. i can easily see myself moving up the ranks to a quality assurance team member. i really think i could make a difference. that is something that really makes me happy.

oh and a paycheque after 4 months is super nice, too!

on another note, a neighbour offered us a car load of free flowers, so off i went last night with shovel in hand. going to do some planting tonight in mom's new garden and in our naked box. these are flowers that will return each year, so i am planning to make a nice garden. :)

k is taking around more networking business cards today, and also her networking letter and resume to more northside business here in our fair city. i hope that all this research and work yields a new career for her, too.
