so this is how it went......

i logged into the systems, scared as heck. B,my coach,  came online and asked me to call him, which i did. we went over some stuff, and i told him my fears. he said, lets give it a go, i am right here with you. so i went available. OMG, it is really stressful at first. i was on pins and needles for the whole 3 hrs. i shit you not! i took the first chat, and did the right things, had the right windows open, but had a real hard time getting through things. we did not have any tests on technical or anything, and i told B that. anyway, i called the CX, and he was very impatient, and dropped off the call and the chat. great, 0/1. so then the next one comes, this time buddy just wants a promo code., there are none, i tell him that the website already has discounted rates, he refused the call and dropped off chat. 0/2. so next chat, and i am feeling the pressure now....deaf CX just wants to do the chat. so we do, and i know what she needs, with B's help, and push a link, and give her direction on how to get it going. she says wait, she will do it, and then off she drops. we check the CX support tool thing to see if she in fact proceeded with the sale, nope , now i am 0/3. and i am close to tears, and ask B for a break. then i come back and get one more who dropped, and then the last one, he actually wants something, and lets me process it!! 1/5. but hey i got a sale tonight!!   then one of the systems crashed, and i could not code it right, so in the daily summary, had to let them know to code this for me so i get credit for the sale. then i remember about an hour ago, that i think i typed his email address wrong on the sales sheet that i attached to the summary, so i had to re send an email with an ADDITION to the please fix part. OMG the stress of it all.  i have to get 5 more sales in order to pass and be on my own. i am so not ready. really i am not. it is just because i am not sure of the processes. there was not enough training with the technical process of the job. we got product knowledged to the death, but just watching the video training is not enough for me, and i told B that. well lets just see how tomorrow goes, i am trying really hard to maintain my focus and professionalism, but when i get that stressed, it is really hard.

what is so different about this is that we are remote, i get that, but there has to be a little better way to go over the technical part. i am not stupid , i have learned other processes and techy stuff, i can learn this, it is just i felt like i was thrown to the wolves without , well whatever it is that wolves like to eat....you know? like a peace-offering?

ok, now i ramble, so that means time to go. i am going to go to bed early because i am very tired. have a good night, readers. until next time (likely tomorrow after the next shift) ..poet.

  2. darlin, you will find that it just happens, and you are ready. This is tantamount to jumping into the deep end of the pool when you have just learned to swim. I bet you are a great swimmer!

  3. I agree with Cris. You learned a lot last night and you will learn a lot more during today's shift and before you know it, you will be zipping through the screens. Always here for ya.

  4. It sounds like you just need practice. And I know how stress can disrupt the thought process.

    Best of luck to you,
