This is Jess. This was one of her last photos before crossing over to Rainbow Bridge. She was not fond of hugs or squeezes, but she purred me to sleep every night for many years. She was 15. :) RIP Jess, forever the "Boss of Me" fall 1994 - april 23 2009
~maria~ she sure was. she was so in tune to me. i have said more than once that she was the feline equivalent to a soul mate. i remember her fondly and miss her fiercly even still. she was an awesome cat. now, that is not to say that the rest of our furbabies are not awesome, for they are in their own ways. there was something different about Jess though. she would look into my eyes and i swear she knew what was going on inside my head and my heart. if you can say you can bond wtih an animal on that level, we did.
She was a big girl, but had lost some weight about 6 months before she died. she was still big though, around 20 lbs. very large bones, with lots of muscle from running and jumping in her youth.
Love the cat! That pic makes me want to hug and squeeze him - which I'm sure he would hate, but I would love. :-)
