T'is the season

to head out to the shops and stores and buy, buy buy. it is insane from now until christmas. i think i'll just stay home and shop online and have stuff delivered here.

i ventured out to the grocery store yesterday, because k likes when i go too. i was exposed to more than one person, gender doesn't matter, who was wearing perfume or cologne or something detrimental to my health. last night i needed to up my maintenance dose of AdVair, and my ventolin puffer has been in my mouth more than in my pocket. my chest hurts, i feel shaky, and the cough and thick mucous is just such a joy to deal with. oh hey, then there is the anxiety.....am i gonna have to go to the ER ? will they have to give me antibiotics and steroids along with the O2 mask/ventolin/atrovent mist? will this turn into pneumonia?

all of this can be avoided for me if 1- i stay inside my home and never leave again, or 2- people smarten up and realize that not everyone can deal with their scent of choice. i know that stores are public places, and i am just one of the many, but man, this sucks.

now i am worried about the conference next june that i have been so looking forward to attending. will my sober sisters in my WFS group be wearing scent? i hope not, but unless there are rules about it, no one really thinks about it.

i don't look sick, but can get very sick. now my head is starting to hurt. great, scent triggered migraine on top of itchy, sore chest. thank you miss check out girl at the superstore on main for making me sick. (and to all the other people i encountered on my 3 hr travels yesterday).

how can i make this day GREAT?~ poet

  1. Hope you are feeling better today. I don't think people have any idea how much their scent bother other folks. Thanks for helping to raise awareness.

  3. People are going to do what they want, they don't think about others. I myself rarely wear scent, and if I do, it's a light one. Nothing worse than someone smelling like they took a bath in it. Hope you feel better.
