1. when renting a vehicle from the internet, read all the fine print, including
TERMS AND CONDITIONS. everything you need to know is there.
2. do not SIGN anything you don't understand.
3. have your credit card and all info ready when i answer. you do this for all
other agencies, what makes the car rental industry any different??
4. READ your contract. if you rent for such and such a time frame, and then
change it mid term, EXPECT a change in the rate, and don't argue with
me. i am the one with the information in front of me.
5. if you have any discounts, or you think you have, let me know before i
quote you a rate. i want to give you the best available rate for your time
frame.

having been a reservation sales agent over 2 years now, qualifies me as a 'seasoned agent'. i know what i am doing, and want to do my best for you.
a couple of weeks ago, i was a renter. everything i needed to know was right in front of me. if i didn't know the business, i still had all the tools i needed to make an informed decision. there was a change in my contract, and i had to make a change. i had everything ready and made my call. i didn't waste the agents time, and got my issue resolved. furthermore, because i am an employee, i was entitled to a rate change, but due to the new years' day holiday, i had to wait until check in to resolve my issue. it was all good, and i was well satisfied with my rental experience. i would like to think that i do as good a job with the callers i get as the service i received when i needed to rent a car.

not much else to report. mom is doing really good, all things considered. i have been busy, as well as my brother, taking care of final expenses. we are also helping mom by doing alot of the calling to various agencies for this pension, and that one, medicare cards and insurances. so much to do.
