hmmmmmmmmm

what is this fascination with the collecting of blog pages? trying out different hosts, checking out new features. making some new friends along the way? yes, all of the above. everyone needs a hobby, and this, for the last year, has been my latest. i have other hobbies, such as collecting things. i have collections of salt and pepper shakers, some antique ones, some novelty ones, some given as gifts, and some (most) i purchased.

there is my red rose tea figurine collection. i have had since i was a child. my grampa drank red rose tea and saved them for me. as well, a dear aunt had a crap load of the things for me. i have nearly all of the original 52 from the early 70s. there were other figurines since then, such as the fairy tales edition, a wildlife edition, and so forth. there was even a time when, i think back in the 90s, there were tea pots edition. nothing will ever be the same as the originals, however.

i collect pens. they don't even have to work. if they have some wording on them, or if they are unique, i want them. when i worked in the hospitality industry (i cleaned rooms at a couple of hotels in our fiar city back in the late 80s and early 90s), i made sure that i had ample supply of their pens. (still have 'em, and they all work)

i collect cameras. i have a couple of Brownies, three polaroids, and 5 kodaks. i wish i still had my little fujifilm 126 kit, it was given to me by our next door neighbours when i turned 13. what an awesome gift.

i collect rocks. yes i do. perhaps i should have been a geologist, can i still? meh, i just like the looks of different rocks. they don't have to be special, or chiny, they can be a pebble someone picked up off their driveway. i love rocks. there are rocks all over the house and k even bought me a little bag of shiny stones to add to the mix. yes, i love rocks.

8-tracks, yup, even got the 8-track player when i get in the mood. of course with the evolution of disc, and now i have joined the world of downloading and mp3 player, every once in a while, i throw a cassette in the player and away i go.

stick pins, or hat pins, you know what i mean? i will have to set up my collection of collections for all the world to see.
