PERIODS OF SNOW OCCURRING OVER MUCH OF SOUTHERN NEW BRUNSWICK ARE LOCALLY MORE INTENSE THAN PREVIOUSLY ANTICIPATED. TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS NEAR 15 CM ARE NOW LIKELY OVER THOSE AREAS BEFORE THE SNOW TAPERS OFF EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. ADDITIONALLY WINDS OVER THE ACADIAN PENINSULA ARE EXPECTED TO GUST UP TO 90 KM/H TONIGHT IN THE WAKE OF A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH NEWFOUNDLAND.

this just popped up on my freaking desktop weather thingy. make it stop.
***update! the snow stopped around noon, leaving about 10 cms. (yay less than they predicted!). the driveway is all cleaned up again, and comfort in a tube was applied to my back...(icy/hot or some such equivalent). it all looks very nice and pretty, when it is shovelled in its place! ***

I bet you're getting the -40 windchills too then? Ugh, I wish my dog could just use the bathroom so we didn't have to go out at all today.

ReplyDeleteat work, a snow day is not declared until well after the day has ended. we don't live very far from work (2kms) so it is not that bad ... even on a day like yesterday.
