it is such a lovely time of year. except for the mixing of rain with snow, then the dropping of temperatures. we are now back into the deep freeze. anyone who loves winter can come live here, and i will pack my little suitcase and move somewhere warm and sunny....at least until may.
the roads were almost impassable thursday. i didn't get out to mom's as planned. so today was run and rush day. i got up, trucked off to the grub shak for mom, flew out to her place and delivered grub, did some errands for her in her village, then rushed back home in time to take r to work. then i got home. this encompassed 5 hours of my day. now i must say that mom lives 65 kms away from my place, and on good roads (the kind that are bare with NO slush or ice anywhere) takes me a good 45 minutes to get there. (insert swearing and cautious driving here). add to that, r works in the next town and that is 30kms 1 way.....so you see where i spent most of those 5 hours.

It is a good thing you said until May. You definately wouldn't like here in Houston after May. :)
