rambling/crap

so here it is friday afternoon, 5pm. i was hoping to be sleeping. well, you know how that goes sometimes. it all started a week ago, with a bladder infection. i took a trip to the OPH ER and saw dr.handsome hanson, and he wrote a prescription for a very strong antibiotic. ( i have since recovered from that). however, since then, i have developed a horrid chest and sinus infection which prompted a second trip to the ER in as many weeks. hmph. different dr, was very nice, same antibiotic, only double the dose and take it for 10 days. there will be no bugs or cooties left in my system by the time those are finished. (at least i hope not). upon return from the hospital, i went straight to bed, and stayed there until 530pm. slept the afternoon away. i had planned on doing that today, as well. ....

....but, as plans often do, they change. i took k to work, and then off to our mechanic to see what the squealing noise was in the car. he was busy and asked if i could bring it back this afternoon, which i did. after i took the boy to his job, i came back and arrived at the designated time. you know a mechanic is good when he is THAT busy. well, i was glad to wait, and he checked, just a belt that was loose, no real charge, he said bring him a 6-pack of beer next friday at closing time (which i will do)....

....which brings me to almost 4pm. i decided to tear apart my storage bedroom. have i mentioned lately i wish we had a shed? of course i have. there is no place to tuck crap away. i MUST purge the stash. send me strength and prayers to actually DO that. clutter is driving me crazy, and yet, i begin sorting and getting ready to toss, and something in me stops the process. AARRGGHH! at least if i had a shed, i could stash the crap out there, and not under beds, in big blue storage containers piled three high in the corner, and then there are the metal shelves that we used in a storage room in our first apartment. they looked good in there, but not so much in a bedroom of a year old home.

while perusing the interweb last night, i saw a blog page, cna't remember how i got there or even where it is now, but there was a small link on the side bar that asked for donations. and i thought to myself, "self, there is a great idea, i ought to put one of those little widgets on my side bar and perhaps i would receive small donations from readers who felt sorry for us not having a shed."  in the previous paragraph about sending prayers and strength for decrapping the stash, never mind that, just send cash.  you will not see a linky thing on my sidebar, but if you are feeling generous...

....by now, you who read me regularly know i would just be kidding of that sort of thing. (not really, yes i am). i think what i will do is load up ye ole' LT2 and truck out to mom's garage, or downstairs in a room she would not mind being used for storage. if only i could just part with the stuff. i did really well when we moved from apt.#1 to apt.#2, and even pretty good from apt#2 to here in the home of our own, but there is more yet to do. oh how i long for a shed....

  3. um, shaz...it will be like a clean slate, a big empty, to fill rafter high with all manner of crap.
gary; , you have a garage, i would love a garage, but i am just asking, (begging, pleading, wishing) for a small shed. nothing extraveagant, 10X12 feet, standard ceiling height. not fussy, just desperate.
    thanks for stopping by...poet

  5. You sound like my mom :)
She's on a frantic mission to clean up her house. Every time she calls me; "I have this and this, and if you don't want it, I'll give it to charity! And if you do want it, take it now, otherwise it'll be GONE!" :)
Good luck with the shed, and I also hope you'll get well soon.

    ciao
