update for work!!

,,,so there i am, getting ready to log into my phone and begin my day, when J the supervisor asks me to come into a meeting. uh-oh, what's up with that? there are 2 supervisors in the room, and three other agents sitting around the table. everyone looking all serious and shit.

since the switcheroo from Abrand to Bbrand, the volume of overflow calls that still come to our centre has risen 20%, and has created a nightmare for management, as well as the agents, like myself, who cross over and take both brands in the run of a day. good news, i am among the first 40 agents to be in a 'special' group who has been offered day/evening shifts and weekends off from now until possibly september. doing Abrand. this was a quick decision for me, but one that is in my best interest. i took it.  my first and foremost thought is the needs of the customer, and if this helps them, then i am all for it. they still need to figure out the 'incentive' stuff, but weekends off and the same start time on my work days is a pretty good start. (the rest will fall into place).  by september, we are supposed to be dual brand agents anyway, taking both company bookings simultaneously, so for now, this works for me.   my new shifts begin this weekend, so rather than going in on saturday at 930, i am now off, which means a 4 day weekend for me.
