change...

a change is as good as a rest.  i changed the look again, as you can see. it happens. i like the options for wordpress looks, but i wish i were able to change it more to reflect me.

the header picture was from my photo file of when we went whale watching a couple of years ago. we had such a great time. i wish we could take the time to do that again. our schedules being what they will be, our only time off together will be in may when we booked off for vacation time. that will be spent painting the bedrooms here in our humble home.

last weekend, i finally got around to copying photo discs back on the computer. and i think i will upload them to my web picasa thingy. that way, should anything go wrong with my computer ever again, i will not have lost a thing. i did lose quite a few following the dreaded hard drive replacement, but, it could have been so much worse. at least we still have our memories and some actual photos in albums. 

that was another thing i was going to do, scan and copy some old photos to put amongst my files. so much to do, so little time.

i slept until noon today, last itme i did that i was deathly ill with pneumonia a few years ago. i actually felt refreshed and rested after i got awake (you know after three cups of coffee, etc).   i have been working like a mad woman here today. i got the dusting done, vacuuming and mopping the floor, changed bedding, and am presently working on a huge pile of laundry...gawd, where does it all come from??

it was such a great spring day that i had the heat off and the windows open to freshen up the air in here. you know what that does to 6 cats? it makes them CRAZY.  yes it does. they run around like freaks. but that is ok, it is the only exercise they get. it was +9C all day, and sunny. i really ought to have washed some widows as well. opening the blinds and getting a real good look at them , well, you know for those of you who have cats,  nose prints. that is all i am saying on that. perhaps tomorrow or sunday i will do that, depends on how much energy i have left. 

tomorrow i am heading out to mom's to do some stuff, and perhaps, if she wants to come into fredericton again to do a little more shopping. trying to get all the things she would like to do done in one day is too hard for her, she tires quickly. 

k's little brother is in hospital out west. he has MS and he fell last week, dislocating his right shoulder. he is in a rehab type facility at the moment, until he recovers enough to return home to his apartment. he lives alone, and is now confined to a wheelchair. he is working on having home care before he goes home. he is young, mid 40s. too young to be in the shape that he is in. i wish he could move down here, with us. we could help him. he and k are closest. there are 2 other siblings.
we are going out there in the fall of 2008 for k's parents 50th wedding anniversary and family reunion thingy. that ought to be lots of fun. i have never been west of ontario, and the very idea of seeing the rockies in person, well , i can hardly wait. 

i better go finish the dishes and tidy the kitchen,,,k will be home in about an hour. have a good evening, my faithful friends.
