trying to get an update

just trying to get my fonts and crap looking right for the blog page. i need to get busy, we are starting to paint today. we have 2 rooms left and k got the paint on friday. we are excited to get our home looking even more homey and cozy than before. and yes, there will be pictures.

we had to have the computer reformatted this weekend; it was acting very, very poorly. and now it is all good. and fast! so much crap (due in part to your's truly adding little trinkets), but it is fine now. i just added this windows live stuff, and maybe one or two little add-ons for my web browser, but that is all, honest.

my friend, kelly, was telling her readers about the latest goings on down at my former employ. wow, only a matter of time until that call centre closes its doors, i'm thinkin'.  the powerful "THEY" are asking Abrand agents to 'volunteer' to work reduced hours, as in shorter shifts, or less days per week. no good can come from that. i am so glad to be outta there. though i miss my friends i made there, it is better that i am not in amongst all that stress.

my courier job is going well. i upgraded my cell phone, and bought one of those new-fangled bluetooth headset thingys. so now i look like everyone else, with a phone stuck out of my ear. i have the technology, and i can claim it as a business expense, woo and hoo. it is much safer for me, the phone rings a fair bit, and i need to be driving, no time to open a phone, this works much better for me. AND i can even set the phone for automatic answer after the first ring, that is 5 seconds, so i can concentrate on the road ahead, or be pulling over to write down my next call. safety is key for me. not like some of the drivers i see on the roads......but that is for another time, perhaps.

in order that we may get painting, we need to remove clutter and furniture from rooms. errrrgh, that is quite a job; maybe not so much in k's room, but mine is another matter altogether. in the end, however, it will all be worth it, and those who come to visit our humble home will comment on its peace, warmth and coziness.

on that note i must pause for now, finish my second cup and get ready to wash the walls and make ready for painting! have a great monday, my faithfuls.

  1. Sounds like a lot of work, but it will be well worth it. We will probably be painting our house, hopefully come spring. I have been thinking of colors and have decided on some rooms, but the kitchen is my thorn and I just can't decide.
