so, this week in contact centre news. there is much information to take in. it sounds like a really good product, one that i can believe in. there are a few issues that i have, however. since leaving contact centre environments, i have not had headaches, ear infections, or issues with my asthma; that is i hardly had to use my rescue inhaler, just my maintenance one. in 4 days, i have had 2 headaches (not nearly as bad as they used to be, but potential is there for worsening), tension in my neck and shoulders, and have had to use the rescue inhaler a number of times, and the tightness in my chest has started again so i have had to double up on the maintenance inhaler, which costs like an arm, leg and mortgage on at least half our cats lives! meanwhile,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
,,,,,one of the car parts stores called this week to offer me a driving position with their company. i accepted. i start wednesday. now to call the contact centre and explain. my 'calling' is driving. i love it. the contact centre , well, been there done that. i really wanted to give it a good go, though. my extremely support family rather see me driving and doing something i love, than just going to work and bringing home a cheque, (although,,,that would be quite nice right now!)
company vehicles, uniforms (which i imagine i will have to purchase), a decent hourly wage, and i will assume company health benefits following the traditional probationary period. your's truly is very pleased. this is what i want to build my career from. the company was very pleased with my driving record (um, follow the rules and laws and you, too, will have a squeaky clean drivers abstract). i expect i will need to fill out the usual paperwork on wednesday before i start. i am determined to be the best darned company driver they will have, and finally have what i want to finish out my working career. yay me!
it isn't that i do not like the contact centre that i started at this past week. i really wanted to give it a shot. it just isn't my 'scene'. in the end, it is about being happy with how you spend your working time, isn't it?
