mowed on the 16th. price of gas is gross. i have a 1US Gallon jug for the lawn-boy and it was $6.10 to fill it! eeeek. also filled both cars today, $48 each. when will it end? the price is presently $1.30/l. that is so retarded.
cross your fingers, i have an interview in moncton for home based reservation sales agent for a hotel and resort chain. after the 4 week training at the contact centre, an office would be set up in my home and i would do my reservations from here. would that be so cool, or what? no scents to contend with. it would be shift work, nights, but it isn't like i have never done that before. so on the 26th i will wow 'em and beg for the job if i have to. i am well qualified, mature worker, who understands needs of the business, can upsell customers based on their info, it would be just perfect for me!
meanwhile, i am still fighting the good fight with EI about my ROE from A.M. dummies. right now it is up to he said/she said. i was "let go' i did not quit. and i am going to prove that point. not taking it laying down, that is for certain! also have a human rights commission complaint form ready to fill out and submit. A.M has not heard the last from this employee, not by a long shot. it isn't like i want anything monetarily out of them, although that would be nice. it is the principle of the thing. i was wrongfully let go of a dead end job, based on a health & safety issue, and the ignorance of the employer, along with co-workers who just didn't care what a scent can do to someone. it can injure or even kill someone, if their allergy is severe enough. i guess i need to be the spokesperson AGAIN.
mom is moving to fredericton in july. she bought here in the park! i am so excited to have her so close by. her home is up for sale, hope it sells quick. cross your fingers for all the news going on here. things are really beginning to turn around. i am pleased that mom is going to be living just up the street. i think even she is looking forward to it now. she turned a corner recently: dad didn't even remember that they lived in their rural area for the last 30 years when he was so sick and before he died. so mom decided that he would think it was ok for her to move. it is just too big a house for her to contend with, and last winter was so hard on her. when she is handier to us, in our fair neighbourhood, we will be able to see to her every need and whim at almost a moment's notice, instead of a hurried once a week trip.
on these notes, i am off for the saturday trip to mom's. we are going to have a great day, and i am going to stay over night tonight. we have people coming tomorrow to pick up the bedroom suite in the master bedroom. they bought it a few weeks ago. i have been busy sorting through papers, doing much shredding and generally cleaning the house in preparation for the sale and the move. if i get that job as noted above, i will have only a few more days home to do all this sort of thing. so much to do, so little time seems to be my new motto.
happy weekend, faithful readers!!!! poet
