so not much going on today. my new schedule starts, so i have 4 days off. the w/end and then today and tomorrow. back to work wednesday. i'm ok with that. last week i was feeling (and still am) overwhelmed with all the things i am trying to learn with the new job. so much so, that i have been suffering from more than my share of anxiety attacks. great. apparently my body has decided that was not enough for me, i have also been having heart palpitations. take my breath away. great. oh it will be alright. that which doesn't kill me, right?

mom is getting more used to her home. she listed the old house with a new real estate company, and let's hope this time it gets sold. she will be less stressed if that house was sold, and the one she is living in paid for. she is from the old school where nobody had a mortgage or owed a soul. um, what is that like?

mom's birthday was earlier this month, and i made it very clear on my FACEBOOK page. my nieces are both on my FACEBOOK so i figured they would see it, and well, acknowledge their grandmother. NOT. nor did their father, my brother, call or send a card or anything. wow. even my ex-husband called mom. i wonder what made my brother so hateful towards us. i wonder why we even care. i actually don't anymore. i have way too much else to occupy my life and time than to worry about a stranger.

k's mom is back in hospital again out west. remember, she had neck surgery in january? well the other afternoon, she wanted to go to the bathroom and tried it on her own, fell, and now she is fitted with a HALO for an unstable fracture of C2 vertebra. she will be wearing the HALO for at least 3 months. naturally, k is worried sick. we live far away and travel in canada cost far too much to get her on a flight.

the cats are fine, as per their normal. seth is also ok. he had been really sick again, back to the vet ($500) for blood tests and medicine and all that jazz. the test results came back that he has a little higher than normal readings with regard to his immune system, causing him to fall ill now and again. he is currently on prednisone to combat the symptoms. he responds well to prednisone, and he is likely to be receiving a small dosage each day for the rest of his life. schnauzers are prone to some health issues, and i guess we get to deal with it. seth is also having some behaviour issues and so tomorrow, he and i are heading out to Foster's Home for Dogs. this place is run by our friend, chris, and she is going to teach me how to teach seth how to be a beter dog. she has assited us previously, and he was doing ok for a while. guess he needs more and i need to learn what more is. i am soooo a cat person, and so not a dog person. i need to learn how to be a pack leader so that seth responds to the most basic of commands.

there is what is going on for now. happy monday everybody,,,,,,,poet
