update

still have not figured out how to get coloured text, neither the scribefire i am using, nor the particular theme has adjustments for colour, ppFFFtt.

anyway, the headlines!

K GOT A NEW JOB! it will be in an office in our fair city. she applied online, as is the protocol these days. she also spoke with someone who has their hand on the pulse of the hidden market. i can't tell the story like K does, but she went over to the office and asked to speak with mr.X, who was in. she went in, shook his hand firmly, sat down and proceeded to tell him a little about herself. i wish i could have been there.

later on friday...the phone rang and it was mr.X. he said to k, "you really made quite an impression on me this morning, cna you start on monday? "

so i guess that is what you gotta do. just walk right in and present yourself.i am very happy that she starts monday. she will have decent hours as well. 8-5, monday to friday. awesome, hey?

update with my new career. we had our graduation lunch as a class friday. we also did live calls that morning. talk about nervous. i thought surely that everything i learned the last 2 weeks went in one ear and out the other, but alas, some of it stayed in there. we also have many tools and resources for when we "forget". i did pretty well, L said (L is our facilitator and hereinafter referred to as the teacher). we were the teachers' first class, and she did very well giving us our lessons, our tests, and assisting us in any way she could. she was an awesome teacher!!!

we got our certificates, and our desks assigned as well. my own desk, which for now i will not have to share with anyone else. which means, i can leave my headset there, i can leave all my notes and books there. i do not have to bring my work home with me anymore! and friday after noon, J, the site manager, and hereinafter referred to as the AWESOME J, informed mw of my new hours beginning following our 2 week on the floor but still in training phase....get this 8am -5p! my days off will be monday and tuesday. and this will be my schedule for as long as i want it, until i wish to change it....can you imagine? things are starting to get easier with the new job, L said i just need to have my confidence built up a bit. she helps with that for sure. and everyone who works there is very, very helpful. it is almost too good to be true.

everything always seems to come together for k & i. we have our rough patches in this road, but we also have a wonderufl support system to carry us through.
and in the coming weeks, we will be able to get back on our financial feet too. both of us working full time again.

mom is doing really well we think. she is getting a bit more into a routine at the new house. she is a bit pissed off that our real estate lady could not move the house. i sent off an email to another agent (who lives out there and is part of a different real estate company) last night. i am hopeful that he will email me back and we can set up a time to meet with him to discuss the possibility of him representing the home, and getting it sold for us.

mom worries about money, and she really doesn't have to. everything is fine for her. and i help her out as much as i can. i am glad that she is closer to us. she feels like she is more alone now than before, but really not. true, we will be at work, but we'll be able to go visit every night, and on our weekends! she is adjusting well.

seth has been very sick again. just like the last time, but not as severe as the last time. the vet got lots of blood for samples to be sent over to PEI for ananlysis. he thinks that seth has an immune disease which affects the muscles in his shoulders and neck. we will get the results back in a week to 10 days and go from there. meanwhile prednisone is the drug which he is on now, and it works miracles with seth. he is back to his normal self. he is back bugging the cats and it is all good.

he is still living with us and mom will have him through the days once K goes to work and i am not home. mom thinks that seth doesn't like her anymore, but he really does. he is a dog, lay sleep and they lay around. as well, he is not as hyper since he gets 4 good walks a day now. which reminds me, i will need to get off here soon and get him for the big walk #1.

mom got her driveway paved last week, and it really looks nice. also got a little garden created with red stones. lots of flowers that will return each year. going to work on more of the flower bed today. and i must get some photos up too.

mom's 81st birthday is coming up too. we're going to spend lots of time with her. i hope that the phantom calls her....but i soubt that is going to happen. seems that branch of the family tree has been broken for some time. i think it is going to just fall off one day.

on that note i am off to peruse crack book and see what is new.

oh yes and today is an informal gathering at a local restaurant for my high school reunion. 25 years ago. i was all gung-ho for it at first, but now i am really nervous about the whole thing. i am not sure if i am going to partake. we'll see.
