up @ 3, is this the new ME?

for about the last week or so i have been waking up at 3am. not that unusual. mind racing with all the new things going on in my life. meeting and getting to know new people from work. i am liking my new career as a level one technical support & customer service representative. it is beginning to feel normal. perhaps "they" were correct about the getting comfy near the 3 month mark. i will have my 3 months in by the end of october. they, hurray for medical benefits. i need my teeth checked and i have not been wearing my glasses because i need new ones. and it will be so nice to get our medicines refilled and not have to pay with nearly maxed out credit cards...

k's job was done a week or so ago. it was going to be permanent, but the business she went to work for closed its doors. 3 weeks. and now she is back laying the groundwork for a new job. she has been networking and promoting herself. knocking on the doors of local business' selling herself (in a good way). she is nothing if not determined. it has been a difficult summer with us both being off work for so long. we managed to hang on, so that is what it's all about.

mom is feeling crappy. pneumonia and depression not good for someone of 81. k is going to get in touch with my counselor to see if she will make a housecall and try and help mom. mom needs that i think. i always feel better, with a fresh outlook after i see my V. she is awesome. i have been doing pretty well, and have not needed to go get my head tweaked in quite some time. am i growing? maybe. i wish there was something i could do to help mom, but we are doing the best we can i think. i hope she feels better soon.

the house in the rural village has not sold yet. the real estate agent we now have representing us is a large, successful company and the agent is awesome. i hope she can put a sold sign on the house before the snow flies. otherwise there are things that need to be decided. like are we going to drain the water and close up the house for winter? or keep it heated enough so the lines don't freeze? to rent or not to rent? likely not. but always an option. hmph.

seth has been in "boot camp" for three weeks and he is learning how to be a GOOD DOG. we respect him for his strong will, but he is also learning that we are the boss, not him. my freind Chris is an awesome pack leader, and we are learning how to be that to seth. he still has some work to do, but he has come a long way. congratulations, seth. the cats are more used to him being here too. i guess they have learned that he is not going away. mom just isnt' able to handle him on a full time basis, so it looks like we really do have a dog.

i guess that is all i feel like writing about for now. take care and enjoy the rest of the week.
