changes

there have been many changes going on with our household. On april 23rd, our beloved jess went to rainbow bridge without us to help.  as i was getting ready for bed, we went in search of her. she lay beneath my bed, already gone. it was a terrible shock. i miss her deeply. it was a long time before i could even think of her without crying. i miss her so much.

seth joined her at the bridge on july 23rd. we had no alternative as he was becoming more aggressive towards other dogs in the neighbourhood, and we were afraid he was going to really hurt someone.  he was 2.5 yrs. we miss him and even though he was a problem dog, he was our dog, and we loved him.

and now we have a new pup in our lives. Kane came to live with us last week. he was rescued from the fredericton spca shelter. he is 11 months old, roughly....i think we shall pick an august birthday for him, and he is so loving. he is a shep/mix and a large dog. he has never had a forever home, lived the last 9 or so months in shelters. wel ove him, and he is helping our hearts heal from the loss of seth.

work sucks. and that is all i am going to say on that for the time being.

summer has been really weird. we have had either rain and fog or extremely high humidex hot days. the lawn has not been mowed in 2 weeks because it has been too wet/humid. when it rains for days in a row, and then turns muggy, it doesn't give the yard time to dry out so i can cut the grass. so it looks like shit and i can't do anything about it. maybe tomorrow it will be a decent day to cut grass. that is, if the rain holds off.

just a small update. i seem to have lost the ability to see my blogroll on the sidebar. wonder where it went? i can only see it if i look in the editor.

missing reading and writing. ....poet~

  2. I am not sure if you received an email I sent about a week ago or not. So, I wish to forward through your blog, my sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mom. I had read about it in the obituaries online. I am sure it is not an easy time, take care.
