2566 is now someone else's worry. the closing date was friday. i am so happy. for the most part. a wee bit sad that era is now over. i remember when we arrived in nb. it was june 26th, 1978 at 4:10pm. it had been raining, and just as we pulled into the drive, the sun came out.
there are many memories i have from that home. i lived there from '78-'87 when i got married, but never moved too far away. in case my parents needed me. last week, i took one last trip out to make sure everything was in working order, before my real estate agent & buyer did their final inspection. it was a bittersweet morning, as i walked from room to room, picturing the house as it was over the years, shed a few tears and said good bye.
on to happier topics. we are now in negotiations for the mini. it is looking really god for my buyer. we'll know tomorrow for sure if the *SOLD* sign goes up. if that be the case, the closing date will be 22 feb. yippee. that , too will be a bittersweet time. a young family will have their first new home, but it will no longer be Mom's mini. i know that it will be hard, but i am so much stronger than i once was. i will face the feelings, feel the feelings, and move forward.
we have things to do, trips to plan! we are tentatively looking at a march trip to calgary, banff and north bay. k's m/d and brother live in calagry, sister in north bay, and we wanna see the rockies in banff. i have never been further west than ottawa, so this is gonna be a trip of a lifetime for me. can't wait!! i have an old friend who lives in AB, and we're even gonna get together while we are out there! yippee. have a great sunday everyone.
