Day 4- Holy shit, yesterday was so awful ...

Day 4- Holy shit, yesterday was so awful. i mean, we NEVER wanna go through that ever, EVER again. never take another puff is our new mantra. today seemed to be a little easier actually. bestus made a small poster and hung it off the clock in our computer room in plain sight and it says, " DAY 3, THE DAY FROM HELL. ONE PUFF IS ALL IT WOULD TAKE TO MAKE YOU REPEAT IT!!!!! NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF!! "
so we are done, finito with the cigareitos!.

so today, i headed over to timbr-mart to get step building stuff, and while i was gone, bestus worked on her course. she is nearly finished, and she is doing so well so far. i betcha she is still at honours!! i'm so proud of her. when i got back, we undertook to take off the railing where we are going to install the second set of steps. (it took forever, and there were a Gazillion nails to pull). anyway, it is off now, and the new stair risers are on. the stair treds would have been installed also tonight, except there are 2 that need to go back to the store and exchanged for the proper size (ooops, buddy grabbed two too short). the ballisters are also the wrong size (that was my bad), and we need a piece of 2X6 5 feet long for a railing. fun shit. all this stress for a set of stairs, how are we gonna manage building the deck? bought a new circular saw for this project (well actually i was not sure if Dad's old skil saw was still in the shed--it wasn't) . and we need one more hammer. we have 2 drills, (dad's old B&D electric one, and my newer cordless one. that will keep us busy once we get really going on this thing. i am still very nervous about starting it, but i know we can do it, just getting going.

anyway, tonight is just a relaxing night. we took kane for a walk, and then we worked on the step. now it is 8pm and it is still light out. love spring. we'll head over to the timbr-mart store first thing in the morning and get things exchanged and finish those steps!!

congratulations to bestus and i on making it through the 4th day! thanks TQ for your comments on day 3's post. we are gonna make it. we're being gentle with ourselves, and we never wannanuther day 3 EVER!!,,,,til tomorrow nights' post, poet.
