Sunday night ramblings...

so, yeah, sunday. it was a good day. we got some housework done, (always a plus), got a decent nap in, (always a necessity), and had inner circle here for taco night. m had been sick with a cold this week, so she opted to remain home so as not to spread the virus. i'm thankful for that, as i don't just get a 'cold' i end up very, very ill. what with new job #2, i can't risk getting sick.

so since i am feeling really confident about new job #2, i am going to email the folks at new job #1 and tell them i am sorry, but it just isn't a good fit for me. please send me my final pay thankyou for the opportunity, etc etc. sincerely, poet. :)   and concentrate on new job #2.

i've already completed the first 5 modules, and have about 24 pages of notes created. tomorrow, i am going to finish off the training online, and see where it takes me. i have a conference call (class) at 6pm monday. cross your fingers, teeth and toes for me, ok? k, thanks!

tomorrow it will be one year since my mom, Betty, passed away. it has been a really tough year for me. many ups and downs. so many times i sit and just with she was still here. i have accepted that she was not able to be, just i miss her so. k & i are heading out to the cemetery tomorrow after breakfast. i would like to take some photos of the flowers we created for the headstone, and then bring them in to store in our shed for the winter. i will post the photos tomorrow. k & i are going to plant  a red maple tree in our yard next spring, and call it Mom's Tree. she so loved trees.

funny story-- one time, i was about 6, we had a trailer for just that one summer (because it rained every single time we took it out and went anywhere). we were at a camp ground somewhere in New Hampshire....and we went to the local mall to pick up some groceries, and so on. Dad, Grampy, and D had gone into one of the stores, and Mom and I were outside.  i spied one of those horsies that you put money in and go for a ride. so there i was sitting on it, mom dug through her purse and got a dime, (yeah they are like 3 dollars now i bet), and put the money in. hmmm, nothing happened. mom gave it a shake, nothing happened, so then she kicked it! every light in the city went off at precisely that moment. people were locked in the stores because of automatic door locks, and we just stood there. a man walked up to mom and said, "now look what you've done!"  it seemed a thunderstorm was brewing, and lightening had struck a transformer at the exact instant mom kicked the horsie!

make tonight GREAT~~  poet.
