a regular sunday here in our little corner of the interwebz. did some surfin', had breakfast, then took kane for a great walk at killarney park. bestus and i enjoyed it, as did kane. in fact, the trail we walked today totalled 2.2 kms. (glad we drove up though)we met up with a few people, not as many as if we remained on the 'around the lake' trail. two dogs, too, and kane enjoyed meeting them. we are pleased with out distance, and even on the hills, not exceedingly out of breath, so that is a good thing. it also took about an hour to do. i think we should do that trek again each morning until the snow flies, as long as it is not pissing down rain. ;)
and so for the rest of the day, surf a little more on the interwebz, have lunch and enjoy a THREE hour nap this afternoon. kids and Roz will be here for supper time, murphy and kane will have a great time. M is going to be in charge of supper this evening (we alternate between us, Roz, R and M. it works well. M is also going to clip kane's claws--man, are they in need, and do two hair cuts, man, are WE in need.
we'll do minimal house work after we get up from nap. oh, i noticed on my online sobriety site that the conference dates are posted for next june. yaay. june 10,11,12. a w/end. can.not.wait.
i have heard so much about conference and how great it is, and i have really wanted to attend. next year i'll be there come hell or high water (or death). price is right too, only about $250 for the w/end food lodging. (will take a little extra for the auction). this will be a reward for me and (by then) 8 years of continuous sobriety. yes, i am proud of that, and yes i am patting myself on the back. it will be a fun w/end, chock full of laughter and fellowship of a group of women who are bonded together in overcoming their addictions. i am looking forward to meeting the women behind the screen names too. i hope that they look forward to meeting poet too.
