the dreaded shift bid

so with all the changes that have taken place at Abrand and Bbrand this year, phasing out Abrand, retraining Abrand agents to take Bbrand calls, we all saw it coming....the dreaded shift bid. this is a block of 4 days when we agents take 5 minutes out of day, at a pre scheduled time, to pick take what is left. i knew that things were going to be bad, but when my prescheduled time arrived at 5pm today, i knew it was going to be bad. so here is what i get to work beginning 24 march:

sat- 930am, sun- 930am, mon-1230p, tues/wed off, thurs-430p, fri-245p. those are gross, and i am not a happy reservation sales agent. k got some really good shifts, sat-630a,sun-630a, mon-11a, tues-1130a, wed/thur off, fri-11a. those are good start times. i hear there are going to be interim shift bid forms going out, but that we'll see if they will actually do one of those. that is when we get to put in a paper with start times that we would like to have, then maybe we could get better shifts. i started out over 2 years ago on nights, and i guess we're at it again. hmph. i will take advantage of what they call shift moves, when late shift start times can actually begin earlier on their day. i got a couple this week, and beginning in march, i am going to grab up as many as i can.
