happy december first

got the main master bedroom completed, soon pictures will appear. i have been so busy with the courier job, and always in search of my dream job. k  starts her computer course through EI monday.

i am excited for her. upgrading her skills so she can get a better job, hopefully one from where she can finish out her working time. i see many people in the run of each day, receptionists, administrative assistants, whatever the term, bottom line is they answer the telephone, greet incoming people, organize paper (or pc work) send stuff and file. k can do all those things. i hope it helps.

i am always perusing the want ads in the hopes of finding that career job, driving a company vehicle and making an hourly wage, with deductions and benefits attached. i don't want much. my job right now is ok, the cheques are good, but then i must figure out my deductions and expenses. ergh. by the time i do that, i figure i am actually making less than minimum wage. but i am working, so it isn't all bad, right?

the car thing. i bought a car last month. yes, traded LT2 in on a smaller, more fuel efficient vehicle to do these deliveries. 1999 ford Escort station wagon. well, talk about a lemon? or Demon as my mechanic likes to call it. it has been nothing but issues and breakdowns since we got it. electrical and fuel issues. but because it is under the usual 30 day warranty...he is trying to get it repaired. meanwhile, we have been down to one car, which brings all kinds of trouble and panic for us. with being on the road all day, i never know where i am going to be at any given time of the day. however, i must be home to pick up boy to go to his job, or get to the doctor, etc etc. it is inconvenient having one car. meanwhile, the mechanic car seller god is looking for another car for me. there is one coming up from halifax next week. it might cost a bit more, but if it is in good condition, i think i will just trade back the wagon on it. gotta have reliable car. we shall see.

well that is all for now. have a happy december first and is everyone getting ready for christmas? we are working very hard at getting our shopping done before the big rush of later in december. there are lights up around the neighbourhood too, however ours are up, just not turned on yet. too soon.
