would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses? nah, too hot for that. we are having a 'summers last hurrah' here in good old fredericton. it is supposed to get up in the high 30s C all week, with tomorrow expected to tip into 40C with the humidex (or heat index for my american readers) . that is in the words of a friend of mine "Fucking Hot!". my friend says there are 4 degrees of temperature where she lives; cool, warm, hot, and fucking hot. we have had the last one all summer long here. i would not be surprised if we have not broken some records this summer. like lack of rainfall for another. honestly? it has not rained much this summer, and the grass and flowers are beginning to look it. all droopy, brown, or dead altogether.

so, not much rain at all. i wonder if this means we are going to get a shit load of snow this winter to make up for it? i hope not, but if we do, i am ready for it, with ye ole' snowblower. with all this heat and humidity i am rather looking forward to a snow bank or two (please don't be too harsh with me on that).
it is just that i really mind the humidity. between my added weight, and my bronchials being what they are, the humidity is really bothering me this summer. i am much happier at 68 F degrees, poor bestus, she usually says she is 'cold', and i say the same thing to her as she says to me in the winter (when we are careful with our heat)..."put a SWEATER on"! lol.
