Wednesday's Ramblings

is it EVER hot out there today. i'm thinking we beat a record for sept.1. with the heat index, we are at 42C. melting.

. a man came for this today. i had it on kijiji for $125.00 firm. he wanted to negotiate, through email. i sent him a message back saying, um, no, the price is firm. so we have this much more space in the shed again, and $125.00 to put in the wallet. :) yay.

i am awaiting word from the recruiter to let me know what time and where to log into training for the WFH gig. i sent her a follow-up email yesterday, but she has not responded. i guess i better send another one.

i am still sending out messages and getting emails from other sources, ya know, because i don't want all my eggs in the same basket. most of the WFH sites, sadly for me, are for american agents only. is that discrimination do you think?   i am hopeful that the local places i applied to and emailed will get back to me. the pay is a little higher than the saskatoon gig, but they are also full-time, and i am really only looking for part-time work.

yeah, i know, who do i think i am not wanting to work full-time? i'm only 45 after all....lots of good hard-working years left in me.....well guess what? i don't wanna. how is that for honesty?  i'm not above hard work, i am just tired of having to do it, that's all. i have worked hard for many years, and i am really just tired. from the time i was 19 i have held one type of job or another. (because i did not follow a suggestion to join the army)(which i should have done because i would be RETIRED by now). alas, i have worked in nursing homes, hotels, house cleaning, warehouses, delivery driving jobs and call centres. i know what you are thinking, get out there and just suck it up.  no. i want to be comfortable here at home, and work part-time.

did you know that "no" is a complete sentence? which needs no further explanation? i didn't. but not i do, and i am using it. :)

so i just got another email for a company who does work at home jobs. No where on the website does it say not to apply if you are from Canada, not does it say that it is not available for Canadians. so, i sent an email back asking them to perhaps update their website to show that it is not available for Canadians. that is the third one i have sent back telling them that. i would not waste my time, and theirs' if it was stated clearly that Canadians need not apply. pfffftt.

alright where was i. oh yes, no. i have learned through my online community for women who no longer drink, that no is in fact a complete sentence. and that it is ok to disagree with someone or something without having to go into great detail about the reasons why i feel this way or that way. it is a liberating feeling, let me tell you.

and another thing that is very freeing is the fact that i do not need to know why someone does something or behaves a certain way.  i have learned a lot this summer from my group, and it has helped alot. i have healed some this year. my Mom would be proud of me, and i know that bestus is.

well i think i will stop for now, have a wonderful day, readers. oh and why not let me know you were here. leave a comment here on send a msg thru fb. make it GREAT~ poet
