Humidex at the end of September, and other news.

yes you read that right. it is hot here again. glad we still have the air conditioners in place (not on but there if it gets too hot) . as you know, i am not a fan of humidity. it makes me cranky, hot, sweaty, and miserable. we have had a very hot & humid season this year. in fact, the last week of august we made records, up to 45C humidex readings on one day. that is bloody hot, my friends. today is about 32C humidex. (for my american readers, a humidex is Canadian for heat index).

we have not had a lot of rain this season either. i am ever hopeful that the rains will come and do what is needed so that this winter we won't have a water shortage. that would simply suck.

the farmer's almanac says that we are to have a wicked cold winter (yippee can't wait)

meanwhile, with work....i am supposed to have been able to log into a portal for new job #2. seems my usesr name and password are not working, and in that case, it was advised i contact my supervisor immediately. so i did that, but because there is a time zone difference of three hours....i am still waiting. *insert stress here*. so, i wait. and i check my mail constantly in case someone has sent me a new link. i am supposed to be prepared for the Set-Up call today, and get logged into everything, do some role playing with C, and then i guess, begin placing survey/interview calls. she is supposed to call me at 5pm my time. it is currently 4pm. not enough time to get everything learned, and ready. i have been at this all afternoon. i even forfeited a nap for this. i so wanted to be prepared. alas, the worst that will happen is i will start tomorrow. oh well. i can do nothing about it.

never did hear back from new job # 1 about my pay. not even an acknowledgment of my email. professional? um, nope. i hope they will send me what i have earned though. mr.FedEx should be here tomorrow (as they over night cheques the day before payday for remote agents). we'll see.

hey guess what? i was checking my stats page, and it seems my stalker has not shown up today. maybe i am not "all that and a bag of chips' after all.
