OK, so here's the scoop on the work scene--i emailed New Job #1 yesterday morning to let them know "hey thanks for the opp, but it just isn't a fit for me...please send me what you owe me for working while i did...thanks, buh-bye". still waiting for acknowledgement of said email. meanwhile, on friday, i began training for New Job #2. am really gonna like it better, and i will be their BEST telephone interviewer ever!! :) i have a conference call this evening at 6pm my time. was supposed to be last night, but alas, i was not completely finished what i was supposed to be. (i put a lot of hours in already, tho, and am now prepared for this evening's phone call). looking forward to it really.
now i know that the pay is sort of sucky (minimum wage based on the province of residence), but it is full time (40 hrs) so i will actually make more in the long run than with New Job #1. it will all work out, it always does.
meanwhile, k is still working on securing a job in medical transcription. seems it is a really hard field to get into. she has the marks, i mean, graduated with honours, and completed the course before the time limit too!! really hoping that something pans out for her. i am very proud of you, bestus, for all your hard work, and not giving up the search!! again, it will work out, it always does.
i have been updating my side bar with all manner of sharing features, tracking codes, and places i read. do click on them, you never know what you will find. i am slowly but surely importing my old blog roll off previous blogs, and will eventually have all my faves for your reading pleasure.
stats counter! this little tool is pretty darned cool. i can see who has been here, how they got here, what they clicked on, and how they left. i even have a stalker!! this reader spends HOURS on my blog. i guess it is because i am THAT interesting!! on a more serious note, thank you for dropping by. it is nice to see that BlogUPP works and brings other bloggers here. i've been bloghopping that way, too. there are lots of really interesting writers out there! give it a click, you will be glad you did.

it is a rainy, damp day here in our fair city. a perfect day for napping! gosh, i love my naps. the thyroid meds seem to be working better, and i am not AS tired all the time. maybe once i get into a work routine, i will sleep better and have a little more energy, too!
the pets are all fine here. thanks for asking. Kane is a most awesome dog. he loves us, he loves his walks, he is just one lovable boy. the cats are all well. 4 keep us entertained nicely. we have one lap cat, pepe. he is a small cat, but he is like having a heating pad on your lap. it will be nice come winter, to have him curled up, purring. the rest are not lap cats. they are unique that way. i have 2 fish still. bettas, Sylvie and Amy. they are very calming. one day i would like to have one of those big aquariums, with live plants and lots of different fish (as long as they all get along). right now, though, the cats take precedent.
sunday, B is going to help me move stuff around in the shed. there are still items in his shed of ours that just haven't found their way here yet. we were going to do it saturday, but i had the ingrown toenail cut out, and foot was sort of sore. we'll get things all arranged this w/end. oh heck, i just remembered, i need to get the snow blower tuned up for this winter.....must remember to call about that.
well, time to go DO something! make today GREAT~ poet.
