i love turkey. we have turkey twice a yr. today, and at christmas. can.not.wait. gravy, omnomnom, stove top, yummm, fresh veggies and cranberry sauce. and for dessert; k's apple pie. i helped (peeling some apples, and tasting of course).
but you know what? i would be just as content if we were eating macaroni and cheese or a bologna sandwich. you know why? because it is not about the meal we will have, but the ones we will be sharing it with. as i said yesterday, i am very thankful for all that i have in my life at this time. you should be, too. even if things are not all roses & rainbows, there are still so many things to be thankful for.
i can think of a really good one right now. the phone rang a little while ago, it was a nice lady from MasterCard, who called to inform us that someone was trying to put a charge through on one of our cards, to the tune of $7K!!!! OMFG. only reason it was flagged was the exp.date was incorrect. they were guessing and it was flagged!! thank you mastercard people who keep us safe. the card is now cancelled and a new chip one is on its way. if that had occurred, can you say devastation? we don't have that kind of money to frig around with. what is this world coming to , really?
have some folks just lost their morals? did they even have any in the first place?
found this great pic on the interwebz.......isn't that yummy? make today GREAT~ poet.

We just finished our Thanksgiving meal here a while ago. Very yummy. I only cook Turkey twice a year at best, too.
