new year new look

for now anyway. we'll see how long i keep this look. or perhaps i ought to put it out there, to you, the readers. what do you think of the new look? too bland? plain? boring? how can i bring some appeal to the look (i know the content is what it is....lol). 

and so it is Monday. soon time for a nap. J is coming over to fix a lamp for me, i got the parts needed, just need the expertise ;) thanks, J. 

Sunday family day was as it usually is. Kane and Murphy played and acted like two little pre-teen boys. the 'kids' ate and relaxed. our friend, R was ill and could not make it over last night. we miss her when she is not here. she did let us know that she is feeling better today, so that is good. (we bagged your soup and it is in the freezer, R).  

January has 2 birthdays this year, J's is on the 19th, and K's on the 23rd. :) what to buy? must give this some serious thought. 

Amy is doing well. Amy is my Betta fish. she is almost 1 yr old, well i guess i ought to say i have had her for almost one year, since i don't know how old she really is. i have no more of my Xplornet fish now. they are all passed to the bridge, well the little brook under the Bridge.  i fixed up her aqua room (changed water, and washed rocks and little shrubs). i had her in my largest aquarium, but switched her back to a smaller one, because of ease of feeding. i have three empty aqua rooms now :(. 

the cats are all fine. Pepe and Tink have taken to sleeping with me now, under the covers. Tink will burrow down by my feet, and Pepe sleeps up under my arm, leaning his head, and purring. Much like Jess used to. I find that I still miss 'the boss of me'. she will be gone almost 2 yrs. so hard to believe. how attached we get to our pets.  Jake is 8, and Gary is soon 5. wow. Kane just turned 2 last sept. he is one loved pup.   our lives are richer because of the love we receive from our animals.
